Profepa detects 83 tons of hazardous waste in the country

He detected water contaminated with oil, empty containers which contained hazardous materials, used lead-acid soil high metal batteries and lubricants, as well as infectious biological hazardous waste.
Profepa also revised 12 thousand 586 tons of hazardous materials and substances, as well as two thousand 274 hazardous waste.
He said that this operation was carried out in 71 carters points where four thousand 585 transport units were checked; plus 13 border customs, eight marine and three internal customs or airport, which reviewed a total of 69 thousand cargo containers.
During this operation he had the support of 124 members of the Federal Police, 59 from the state, eight of the municipal and 111 members of the General Administration of Customs.
Also they included 66 elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), 13 of the Navy (Semar), seven of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) and 205 federal environmental inspectors Profepa.
The Second National Operational consisted of the verification and monitoring of transboundary movements of materials, substances and hazardous waste, coordinated by the Deputy Attorney Profepa Industrial Inspection with the support of the General Administration of Customs.
