R. VALLE Gijón prepares to face a high alert. The heads of the Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue of Gijón are the architects of the new Municipal Emergency Plan Gijón (Pemugi), which has just been presented to the mayors of all local groups. The Pemugi sets the "organic-functional framework and mechanisms for mobilizing human and material resources necessary for the protection of people in case of serious collective risk, disaster, public calamity or any other type of risk and impact." After getting the nod at City Hall, the Pemugi will be processed by the Principality of Asturias to get their approval and which can be integrated into the regional territorial plan, called Platerpa.
