Harbour Master investigates the entry of dangerous goods in Son Blanc
The maritime authority under the Ministry of Development, filed several complaints to transport companies, after detecting sending undeclared dangerous goods in the port of Son Blanc. So far none of them has ended in disciplinary proceedings, as they are in the initial stage of the investigation.
The allegations, as has been told this newspaper, have been the result of warnings from competing companies that warned of disallowed shipments Son Blanc, as well as the performance of the Civil Guard in the port of Ciutadella that detected after a inspection, at least one case of non-compliance by a transport company.
Complaints for not declaring dangerous goods are processed by Harbour Master, the body responsible for opening the file and if necessary fix the corresponding penalty.
