Three new illegal dumps within 24 days

The second of detected cases occurred in the Pazo de Ramirás, in an area of containers being used illegally as a collection point. The officers of the local police, who came to found that there were deposited in that area all kinds of waste, mattresses, debris, tires and appliances. In fact, the neighbors explained that it is common for private cars and vans waste deposited there illegally.
The latter one of the three illegal discharges detected by the local police was beside the clean point of Santa Marina, a recurring with respect to such offenses place. It was a spill of rubble, four boxes of cardboard, a tire, several wooden sticks and a microwave. After identifying the offender, he said that when he tried to place these articles in the recycling center was closed, pledging to remove.
The Department of Environment, which will open disciplinary proceedings to those perpetrators of this type of environmental offenses, calling on city residents to respect the schedules of the clean parts of the city (Eiroás and Santa Marina), with three types of waste sorting: Closed for hazardous waste at home (aerosols, fluorescent, solvents, paints, etc) storage; an area of high capacity collectors for bulky waste (furniture, mattresses, appliances and the like) and, finally, collectors area similar to those in the sidewalks to pull glass containers, plastic containers, cans, bricks, paper and cardboard. These points are open Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 19.00 hours and on Saturday from 16.00 to 19.00 hours.
These three landfills join those already located in the shanty town of O Vinteún, Peliquín, and Oira Seixalbo way, among others.
